Encourage Students to Hoist Flag at Home to Enrich Patriotism Feeling

The government of Karnataka issued circulars to all concerned to organize The `Har Ghar Tiranga` program, from August 11 to 17 as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

The program encourages people to fly the tricolor atop their homes to express love for the nation. The Indian National Flag is a symbol of national pride for the entire nation. To further honor the tricolor flag.   Mr. Amit Shah, Hon`ble Home Minister of the union government who oversees all efforts under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav gave approval to the program of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’. It envisages inspiring Indians everywhere to hoist the national flag at their home.

 The state government issued a circular directing the administration of the colleges and universities to instruct all teachers, non-teaching staff, and students to hoist the national flag at home. The institutions have to inform students about the program during class hours and display the information on notice boards. The circular also tells drivers of the educational institutions to hoist it on their college vehicles as part of the endeavor to make the Centre`s `Har Ghar Tiranga` program a success. The circular stated that the relationship with the flag has always been more formal and institutional than personal. Bringing the flag home collectively as a nation in the 75th year of independence becomes symbolic of not only an act of personal connection to the Tiranga but also an embodiment of our commitment to nation-building. The idea behind the initiative is to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the people and promote awareness about our national flag.
