MIFSE was founded in 2007 by the `Minerva Educational & Charitable Trust,` which is a registered trust under the Indian Trust Act. MGC-4-00008-2007-08/MGCD59 is the registration number.
Minerva Educational & Charitable Trust was established with the sole purpose of providing high-quality education to the general public at a reasonable cost. In his book `Challenging the Twenty-First Century,` Peter Drucker claims that no institute or business can exist without being competitive in the global marketplace. Minerva Educational and Charitable Trust established the MIFSE for this aim.
MIFSE (Mangalore Institute of Fire and Safety Engineering) is noted for its safety instruction. In 2014, the university was named India`s No. 1 institution for safety training by the prestigious "Indian Education Excellence Award." The Government of Karnataka recognizes MIFSE as a recognized institution. It is also linked with some of India`s most prestigious universities, all of which have been graded by the National Assessment Accreditation Council. Mangalore University, the University of Mysore, which is over a century old, and the Karnataka State Open University are examples of such institutions. These universities have given MIFSE the opportunity to provide high-quality education in fire and safety, fire and industrial safety, health and safety, environmental protection, petrochemical and oil and gas safety, as well as numerous safety and management functions. Since 2010, MIFSE has been an ISO 9001:2015 accredited institution. The MIFSE has been granted permission by the Minerva Educational & Charitable Trust to provide a quality education through its network of branches. MIFSE has only one branch in Mangalore in 2007. The number of branches has grown to 12 in 2015, with locations in Bangalore (Malleshwaram and Banashankari), Udupi, Shimoga, Davangere, Hubli, Belgaum, Hospet, Tumkur, and Mysore. MIFSE is headquartered in Mangalore and has a corporate office in Mumbai- Thane (W).
MIFSE is India`s first fire and safety education institute. As society progresses, certain activities become more vulnerable to tragedy. It should be emphasized that even the most important buildings in the country and the world have been set ablaze, including the Parliament in New Delhi, the Secretariat Building in Mumbai, the Carlton Towers in Bangalore, the AMJ Hospital in Kolkata, the Bhrahth Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike, and others.
Accidents and mishaps occur either on purpose or as a result of a technical defect. Whatever the reason, the outcome is horrific, losing precious lives as well as property worth crores of rupees and evidence destruction.
Purpose
All types of accidents and occurrences must be addressed through quality education that provides superior information, skill, and attitude. MIFSE was founded in March 2007 to achieve precisely this goal.
Minerva Educational & Charity Trust (R), with headquarters in Kankanady, Mangalore, is a non-profit philanthropic trust dedicated to providing high-quality education and charitable activity. This trust is managed by benefactors and wealthy Mangalore businesspeople.
The trust`s primary goal is to support technical institutes that provide high-quality education to students and prepare them for employment upon completion of their studies.
