About BMS College of Engineering

Late Sri B.M.S. College of Engineering (BMSCE) established the college in 1946. B. M. Sreenivasaiah, a renowned thinker and philanthropist, and his distinguished son Late Sri. B. S. Narayan.

BMSCE is around 5 kilometres from the Central Railway Station and is located in the centre of Bangalore, India`s Garden City. The campus is 11 Acres 30 Guntas in size, with a built-up area of 99,500 Sq.M.

BMSCE is India`s first private-sector effort in engineering education. Over the course of its historic 74-year history, the school has produced over 40,000 engineers/leaders who have improved the globe via their enormous contributions to humanity. BMSCE began with only three undergraduate courses and has now grown to provide 13 undergraduate and 16 postgraduate programmes in both traditional and new fields. 14 of its Departments are designated as Research Centers, with PhD/M.Sc (Engineering by Research) degrees available in Science, Engineering, and Management. Among engineering institutions in Karnataka, the College has one of the highest student numbers. Currently, over 5000 students are pursuing higher education at BMSCE. In BMSCE Research Centres, around 350 research scholars are pursuing their PhD degrees. BMSCE is one of the most popular destinations for students from all over the country, which can be linked to the high quality of education, facilities, and teaching-learning processes, as well as the production of industry-ready graduates. The College aspires to instil in its students technical, professional, and personal principles that will serve as a basis for their future success.
