AIEED GAT (General Ability Test) Exam Pattern

• In AIEED GAT candidates are evaluated on the basis of design sensibilities, Logical Reasoning, design-related awareness, awareness on global issues, & Concepts Comprehension. Questions are in MCQs.
• In this exam, candidates need to attempt 60 questions in two hours duration. The maximum marks that aspirants can secure in this AIEED GAT are 100 marks. AIEED CAT (Creative Ability Test) Exam Pattern
• In this section, candidates are evaluated on the basis of Articulation Skills both written & visual, Design Thinking, Lateral Thinking & creative problem solving, & awareness of Design Principles.
• In this exam, candidates need to attend 50 questions in three hours duration. The maximum marks that aspirants can secure in this AIEED CAT are 200 marks. AIEED Video, Portfolio, and Personal Interaction

In this section, candidates are evaluated on the basis of Composure, Focus & clarity, General articulation skills, depth of thinking, a range of work in a portfolio. The duration of these tests is 30 minutes and candidates are evaluated out of 200 marks. 

• AIEED application form 2021 was released on February 15 for Session 2 by Arch College of Design and Business.
• Candidates can fill the AIEED application form online at the official website of the design entrance exam.
• Candidates can fill AIEED application form in online mode only.
• No other mode of application will be accepted.

Steps to Fill AIEED Application 

Candidates need to follow the below-mentioned procedure to successfully fill the AIEED 2021 application form.

Step 1: Create a Login ID

First of all, candidates need to register for the All India Entrance Examination for Design on the official website of Arch College of Design and Business. In order to register for the AIEED exam, aspirants need to provide details such as their full name, valid email ID, password and date of birth. On providing these details candidates will receive the registration number and password on their email address.

Step 2: Fill the AIEED Application Form

Candidates need to login on to the official website of Arch College of Design and Business admissions by using the registration number and password that they receive on their email address. Next, candidates need to fill in their details in the AIEED 2021 application form. The details they need to fill in include:

Candidates need to upload documents such as their photograph, Class 10 mark sheet, Class 12 mark sheet and address proof. All these files need to be in JPEG format and should not exceed 1 MB in size.

Step 4: Pay AIEED Application Fee

Next, candidates need to pay the AIEED application fee which can be done online or offline. The application fee can be paid online through Debit Card, Credit Card or Netbanking. The application fee can be paid offline by means of a Demand Draft (DD) that is drawn in favour of “ARCH Educational Society” and is payable at Jaipur. On the reverse side of the DD, candidates need to mention their name and contact address.

Step 5: Submit an Application form for AIEED Exam

AIEED 2020 Application Fee

Candidates can pay the application fee for the AIEED 2020 exam online or offline. 

AIEED 2020 application fee can be paid in any of the below-mentioned ways:

• Credit card/ Debit Card/ Netbanking: Candidates can pay AIEED application form online by means of credit card, debit card or online payment gateway
• Demand Draft: Candidates can pay the application fee by means of a demand draft (DD) that is drawn in favour of "ARCH Educational Society" and is payable at Jaipur. AIEED Exam for Portfolio and PI – This is descriptive and also faces to face interview.

Details of AIEED Interview and Portfolio

• The candidates should make a video of themselves. This is an important part of our new admission screening process. Based on the Questionnaire file send to the applicant`s mail, applicants need to make a video of themselves and send it to ARCH.
• The portfolio needs to be shared with the ARCH in prior. A Portfolio is the visiting card of the candidate, speaking of their interests & abilities and is a collection of any previous creative work done by the candidate in the form of illustrations, sketches, photographs, essays, prose, etc, even films & slideshows that can be shown on a mobile phone
• Skype interaction On a Scheduled date and time. The applicant will have a Skype Interview with ARCH`s Panel of Experts. Candidates failing to appear for an interview session would not be considered for admission. Their applications will be cancelled. Rescheduling of the interview in rare cases would be accepted if an application mentions the reason for absence. For any confusion, you can write to [email protected].

Important Information Regarding the AIEED Selection Process:

• The candidates who have cleared the AIEED exam successfully will be called for the interview.
• The examining authority will send the interview call letter which will comprise the date of the interview along with the specified venue.
• The interview date will be based on enrollment numbers. Candidates must report at least 15 minutes before the interview. Candidates failing to attend the interview will not be considered for admission. There is no option to reschedule the interview schedule.

• Attested copy (original and duplicate) of Class 10 certificates.

Counselling procedure for AIEED :

• After the personal interview process has been successfully conducted, and the candidate has presented the portfolio, the examining authority will filter the deserving candidates for Counselling.
• Those candidates who have successfully cleared both the levels will be invited for the AIEED Counselling process by the University. The Counselling process will be conducted at the ARCH Academy of Design Campus situated in Jaipur.
• The seats will be allotted based on the candidate`s score in the AIEED and interview.

Undergraduate courses offered at Arch College of Design and Business are in affiliation with University of Rajasthan. On the other hand, PG courses are offered in affiliation to Rajasthan ILD Skills University.

• AIEED will be conducted in two phases – Series 1 and Series 2. Candidates need to note that Series 2 entrance test will be conducted only if seats are available for admissions.
• Candidates can choose to give AIEED exam either as an online test or as an offline exam.
• Candidates who opt to give AIEED exam in the offline mode need to ensure that they carry the following things with them on the exam day - black & blue pens, pencil & eraser, steel scale, cutter, scissors, dry colour media (colour pencils/ crayons/oil pastels etc.), glue stick. 
• In the online exam, candidates will be given three slots from which they can select the slot in which they want to appear for AIEED exam.

The AIEED 2021 eligibility criteria to secure admission in UG programmes are as mentioned below:

• Candidates who have appeared for/cleared their Class 10+2 from CBSE/ ICSE/ IB/ State Board/ NIOS or equivalent board as per UGC guidelines are eligible for admissions.
• Candidates can apply for four year UG programe in Interior Design with a valid NATA score/ AIEEE rank. Such aspirants will be exempted from appearing for AIEED exam and will have to appear for the interview round directly.
• Students appearing for their Class 10+1 exam can also appear for AIEED. Such candidates will be eligible for direct admission in the academic session commencing in 2021 provided they clear the interview round at that time.
• Candidates need to clear PTE Exam (Academics) within one year of course commencement for progression to UK University.
• Candidates need to follow the below mentioned steps in order to successfully complete the admission process for AIEED 2021.

AIEED 2021 Eligibility Criteria for PG programmes (2 years duration)

Candidates who possess a graduation degree or are currently pursuing graduation in any discipline can apply for programmes offered at ARCH Academy provided they are pursuing their graduation degree from a recognised university.

• Cut off is the minimum percentage or mark that the candidate requires to get in order to qualify in the examination.
