  • Andhra Pradesh Post Graduate Common Law Entrance Test (AP PGLCET) is a state-level entrance exam conducted by Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) for admissions to LLM course. 
  • On the basis of AP PGLCET scores, candidates are offered admissions to various universities and their affiliated colleges of the state.
  • Exam is conducted by Sri Krishandevaraya University, Anantapur on behalf of APSCHE in an online mode.

Pattern
  • In AP PGLCET law entrance exam for LLM course admissions, candidates need to mark their answers in an OMR sheet with a Ball Point Pen (Blue or Black).
  • For each correct answer, candidates will be awarded one mark.
  • There is no negative marking in APPGLCET exam.

Application Details
  • Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) will release the application form of AP PG law entrance exam in the Second week of February 2022.
  • Application forms will be available in an online mode only on the official website of APSCHE.
  • To apply for AP PGLCET, candidates have to complete all the steps of application including registration, fee payment, filling up the form, and uploading documents.

How to apply for AP PGLCET 2022 ? 

  • Step 1 : Registration and Fee Payment 
    • Application process begins with application fee payment and for this, the candidates need to select two options - Pay the Fee Using Credit Card/ Debit Card OR AP Online by Cash
  • Step 2 : Filling the Online Application Form
    • Candidates Details  : It includes mentioning the candidate’s name, date of birth, gender, mother’s name, and father’s name.
    • Qualifying Exam     : Candidates need to specify their qualification (LLB/ Degree in any other stream/ class 12th). Candidates also need to mention other                                         related information such as hall ticket number of qualifying exam and place of study.
    • Entrance Exam        : Candidates need to select the law entrance exam - PGLCET
    • Photo and Signature : Candidates need to upload their photograph and signature as per the specifications mentioned below :

  • Regional Centre for Test : In this column, candidates need to select the preferable AP PGLCET exam centre from the drop-down list.
  • Category                           : Here, candidates need to select a category that they belong to according to their Caste certificate - OC/ BC-A/ BC-B/ BC-C/ BC-D/ BC-                                               E/ SC/ ST. Also, any candidate belonging to the special category (NCC/ CAP/ Sports) needs to select the appropriate category.
  • Local Area Status             : Candidates need to select the local area that they belong to under this column:
    • AU (Andhra University)
    • OU (Osmania University)
    • SVU (Sri Venkateswara University)

  • Minority/ Non-Minority : If belonging to any minority category (such as SC/ ST/ OBC) need to click the “Minority” button and candidates belonging to the non-                                              minority group (General category students) need to click the “Non-minority” button.
  • Address                              : Enter the permanent address, as well as the current address
  • Class 10th details              : Candidates need to fill their class 10th details such as board, hall ticket number, month and year of passing, and place of study.
  • Ifphysically challenged     : select If you have any kind of physical disability such as Visual Handicapped/ Hearing Impaired/ Ortho Handicapped.
  • Class 12th details              : candidates need to fill their class 12th details including board name, hall ticket number, month and year of passing, as well as the                                                      place of study.
  • Annual Income of Parents : Candidates need to select the annual income of their parents i.e. Below One Lakhs / Between One Lakhs and Two Lakhs/ More than                                                   Two Lakhs.
  • Step 3 : Form Submission
    • After filling the application form, candidates need to submit it online only.
    • They need to click on disclaimer “I accept the Terms and the Conditions” and press the “Submit” button.
    • After this, the application process for AP PGLCET 2020 will be complete.  
    • Candidates are advised to download the submitted application form and get printouts of the same for future references.

Fee Structure :

  • Application fee for PGLCET 2022 is Rs 850 only for all categories.
  • For candidates selecting fee payment via Credit Card/ Debit Card, candidates need to click on `Make Payment` and proceed to pay the application fee and candidates will get a `Payment ID` once the process is complete.
  • For payment via AP Online Centre, candidates need to visit any of the centres with the following details : 
    • Qualifying Examination Hall Ticket Number
    • Name
    • Mobile Number
    • Date of Birth
    • Entrance Exam : PGLCET
    • Application Fee Amount in Cash
  • Candidates will be given a `Transaction ID` after the payment is complete. 
Analysis

After conducting of the entrance examination by Krishnadevaraya University for the admission to PG Law course, the experts of Edunews have made an attempt to analyze the question paper which was in MCQ. The question paper comprised of 2 parts. In the former, Jurisprudence and Constitutional Law have been included in the latter, Public International Law, Mercantile Law, Labour Law, Crimes and Torts, IPR, etc.

The questions under each sub topic were designed by the experts to test the ability of the candidates in theoretical and practical field of law. This was imperative to judge the proficiency of the candidates on the basis of the knowledge that they have gained in their UG studies. The question paper was set by a professional who could deliver proper justice giving importance to each topic. As there is no negative valuation, each candidate can score a decent mark which can be a gateway for them to seek admission in the institution of their choice.

Counselling
  • Once the candidates are shortlisted on the basis of marks secured in the test, the authorities will send call letters to such candidates for counseling process.
  • The AP PGLCET 2022 counseling will consist of steps like registration, document submission and verification, choice filling etc.
  • Through the AP PGLCET counseling 2022, the conducting body will scrutinize the validity of the details provided by the candidates.
  • Also, it should be noted that the final admission will be subject to candidate’s eligibility for the course and rank secure in the merit list.

AP PGLCET 2022 Counselling Process :

  • Step 1 : Document verification
    • Candidates have to visit the counseling centers as listed in their region.
    • They should carry the required documents and rank cards in original as well as two copies. 
    • Candidates should visit the counseling centers as per the ranks and the schedule.
    • Candidates will be required to participate in the web-counseling process after the verification is over. 
  • Step 2 : Web-option entry
    • Candidates need to participate in the online counseling process either from the help centers or from any system well connected with internet.
    • Candidates have to select their choice of colleges from the available colleges. 
  • Step 3 : Seat allotment
    • APSCHE will release the allotment list mentioning names of candidates and as per the rank list.
    • Candidates can accept the colleges by reporting to the allotted college and making the fee payment for their course.
    • Candidates not accepting the seat allotment will have to participate in the next round of seat allotment.

Eligibility
  • Candidates should have passed or appearing in the final year of their bachelor degree in law i.e. five-year LLB degree or three-year LLB degree from any recognized university. 
  • They should have secured at least 50% marks if belonging to General/ OBC category and 45% marks if belonging to SC/ ST category.
  • There is no upper age or lower age limit for this course. 
Cut-Off
  • In order to qualify the AP PGLCET, a candidate must obtain the minimum cut off marks.
  • The minimum percentage to qualify is 25% that is 30 marks out of 120.
  • However, this is not applicable to the SC/ST category candidates.
  • The other candidates will get their rank if they qualify the exam.
  • The cut off marks to qualify Post Graduate Law Common Entrance Test are as follows :

Results
  • APPGLCET 2022 results will be declared on the official website of the exam on May.
  • Candidates can view AP PGLCET 2022 results on the official website of the law entrance exam by filling their AP PGLCET 2022 registration number and admit card number.
  • Result for AP PGLCET exam contains the candidate’s score and rank in the exam.
  • AP PGLCET ranks are prepared on the basis of marks secured by aspirants in the exam.
  • Qualifying marks in APPGLCET exam is 25%. However, for SC/ST candidates there are no qualifying marks for ranking.
  • Candidates are informed that ranks obtained in AP PGLCET 2021 are valid for admissions in 3 year and 5 year law programmes offered in law colleges of Andhra Pradesh state only for the 2022-23 academic sessions.

Steps to Check AP PGLCET 2022 Result :

  • Step 1:Visit official website of AP PGLCET 2022.
  • Step 2:Click on the “Results” tab.
  • Step 3:Enter AP PGLCET registration number and admit card number.
  • Step 4:Click on “View Result” button.
  • Step 5:View APPGLCET result and take clear print of it.

Tie Break Scenario :

  • In a scenario where two or more candidates get the same score in AP PGLCET exam then tie-break is done as per the below mentioned pointers :
    • Candidate who has secured higher marks in Part C of APPGLCET 2022 will be ranked higher.
    • Candidate who has more marks in Part B of the exam will be ranked higher if the tie still remains.
    • Candidate who is older (with respect of age) will be given preference if the tie still remains.

Steps to Check APPGLCET 2022 Rank Card :

  • Step 1 :Visit official website of APPGLCET 2022.
  • Step 2 :Click on the “View Your Rank Card” link.
  • Step 3 :Enter AP PGLCET hall ticket number, registration number and date of birth (in dd/mm/yyyy format).
  • Step 4 :Click on “View Rank Card” button.
  • Step 5 :View APPGLCET rank card and take clear print it.

 

Admit Card
  • Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE) will release the admit card for AP PGLCET 2022 at least seven days prior to the exam date.
  • Candidates can download the hall tickets for AP PGLCET 2022 from the official website only.
  • Admit card/ hall ticket will be issued to only those candidates who will submit their application form before the last date.
  • To download the admit card, candidates need to enter their login details i.e. AP PGLCET 2022 registration number, qualifying exam hall ticket number and date of birth.

Steps to download AP PGLCET 2022 Admit Card :

  • Visit the official website of AP PGLCET 2022 and click on `Download Hall Ticket` tab.
  • A new page will open up for admit card window.
  • To download the admit card, candidates have to enter their AP PGLCET 2022 registration number, qualifying examination hall ticket number and Date of Birth.
  • Click on “Download Hall Ticket” button and the admit card will appear on the screen.
  • Cross-check the details mentioned on it and if any error is found then report it to the exam helpdesk.
  • After this, download the admit card (even if it has errors) and get printout copies to carry on the exam day.

Admit Card Details :

  • Candidates appearing for the examination should download their admit card at least 2-3 days before the exam date.
  • Admit card is a mandatory document that candidates should carry with them on the exam day.
  • No candidate will be allowed entry to the examination hall without a valid admit card, therefore, candidates should ensure the admit card has following details on it :
    • Candidate` details such as name, roll number, date of birth, category, parents name, photograph and signature.
    • Exam details i.e. name, PGLCET course, and exam date and timings.
    • Test centre details i.e. centre name, detailed address, reporting time and instructions to be followed on the test day.
