Analysis

Krishnadevaraya University, Anantapur conducted APLAWCET on behalf of Andhra Pradesh Higher Education Council for the admission to various UG Law courses in the universities / colleges of AP. The team of Edunews, after the examination could peruse the question paper of the examination. The examination paper apparently covers 3 parts namely General Knowledge and Mental Ability, Current Affairs and Aptitude in the study of law respectively. The question paper carries 120 marks in the proportions of 30, 30 and 60 respectively.

Questions under Part A were able to cover the area of GK and also the creativity of the candidates. The latest development in the territory of India and world over falls under Current Affairs. The elementary aspects of law such as the concepts, Indian Constitution, Indian Contract, Law of Torts, the criminal and civil liabilities for the offences, IPC, IPR, law relating to overseas countries have been brought under aptitude in law.

Candidates who are seeking admission to UG courses are expected to know the elementary aspects of law including GK and current affairs. The paper of the examination was set by professionals and marks portfolio has been allocated judiciously to each one of the major and ancillary topics of the syllabus. The question paper is the blending of the hard and soft as such many candidates could score a decent mark as a minimum prescribed by the University. The non-existence of negative valuation removes the bottle necks for the candidates to accomplish decent score.
